January 4th 2022 Update

For the seven-day period between 12/26/21-1/1/22 a total of 150 confirmed cases were identified in Gunnison County residents. Starting on Thursday, 1/6/22 the free, community testing site will move from the GVH parking lot to the parking lot that hosts the Cattlemen’s carnival in the summer time.

December 28th Update

For the seven-day period between 12/19-12/25/21 a total of 42 confirmed cases were identified in Gunnison County residents. Reported cases may not reflect the full spectrum of transmission in our community and the associated risk.

December 13th Update

On December 9th, the CDC expanded the age range for those who can receive a booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Currently, anyone 16 and older can now receive a booster dose of Pfizer vaccine six-months after their second dose.

November 29 Update

For the seven-day period between 11/21-11/27/21 a total of 21 Gunnison County residents tested positive for COVID-19. Throughout the course of the pandemic, we have seen artificial declines in case rates in the period immediately before and after holidays. In the past, these declines in the reported data did not reflect real conditions of transmission in the community.
