Green is Coming 5/28/21

As of 5/24/21, 9,681 Gunnison County residents are fully vaccinated. Additionally, we have over 10,500 individuals who have received at least their first dose.

This means we have achieved 96.8% of our 10,000 fully vaccinated goal to reach Green on the Coronameter. We expect to reach the 10,000 goal in the very near future through our second-dose delivery cycle at upcoming clinics.

With this in mind, Gunnison County will be moving to Green on the Coronameter on 5/28/21. The Green status on the Coronameter will be effective Friday.

Upon this transition to Green, businesses will no longer have capacity limits, event sizes and approvals will no longer be required, and additional hygiene standards will not be required. However, these things will remain a best practice.

Additionally, masking is no longer required outside of the following settings: Healthcare providers, Schools & Childcare, Public Transportation, Jails/Prisons, any business or setting requiring facial coverings. Some businesses and entities may wish to continue requiring a facial covering and are within their right to do so and we ask that you respect their policies when patronizing the establishment. Gunnison County continues to encourage the unvaccinated to utilize a facial covering in all public settings.

The Gunnison County Public Health Order will sunset in entirety on 7/1/21.
