Positives and Indicator Updates
We had 0 new positive results come in today. For the last 14 days, we have seen 21 positive results. Our testing positivity of 8.26% and positives in a given 7 day period continue to meet two indicators for a move to yellow. No other indicators have been met at this time. While there was a slight uptick in GVH employees out sick at 5.8%, that number is actually trending down from a peak two days ago.
While our healthcare system is busy locally and across the Western Slope, we do still have capacity. We currently don’t have any patients at the hospital with Covid-19. The other indicators that would move us to yellow are around our ability to give care. Thus far, we are in strong standing.
With the uptick, we would like to take this time to remind everyone that our actions today will drive our success in the future. Please consider your interactions and whether or not they are necessary.
McDonalds Outbreak
Based on the state’s definition of 2 or more positive test results in one setting, McDonalds has been considered an outbreak with 3 positive tests. McDonalds has been cooperative with Public Health throughout the process. The business continues to be voluntarily closed while employee results come back. There is no evidence of spread beyond staff and their close contacts.

Importance of Self-Reporting
One of the best tools to provide early warnings of spread in the community is to self-report as symptomatic. If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, even if they are mild, please self-report and isolate yourself.
