Today at our virtual town hall, we presented on the upticks we are seeing locally and around the state. The presentation slides can be found here. A video of the presentation and the Q&A can be found here.

We had 10 new positive test results come in today bringing our total to 140. We have had 16 positive tests in the last 14 days. The 14 day average testing positivity is now at 6.09%. We now have hit 2 of 7 indicators that would move us to the yellow level restrictions as displayed on our dashboard. To move to yellow we would have to hit 3 of 7 indicators and we would have to declare a yellow status.

While our healthcare system is busy locally and across the Western Slope, we do still have capacity. We currently only have one patient at the hospital with Covid-19. The other indicators that would move us to yellow are around our ability to give care. Thus far, we are in strong standing.

Our indicators are doing what they are designed to do in giving the community an early warning. Now more than ever, we need to all limit our interactions, double down on hand washing and masking. Limit your trips to the grocery store to once a week. Do you need to have that backyard barbeque with friends? Enjoy the great outdoors and keep your physical distance.

Importance of Self-Reporting

One of the best tools to provide early warnings of spread in the community is to self-report as symptomatic. If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, even if they are mild, please self-report and isolate yourself.
