Long Term Health Order
We ran a public meeting introducing our long term public health order on Monday. We still plan to launch this order on Monday, 6/8. So long as infection patterns hold, we will be in the blue level of the coronameter at launch. Our blue level is less restrictive than the state’s current order, so we will be developing a document outlining those areas where the state is more strict. Our plan is to submit a variance to the state for our whole long term public health order. Until the state approves that variance, we will still have to adhere to the state where they are more restrictive than we are locally.
The presentation can be found here.
The meeting was recorded and can be found here.
Monday, 6/8 Public Meeting
We will again be conducting a public facing zoom webinar on Monday 6/8 at 2:30 PM.
Based on feedback from the elected officials, this meeting will cover two topics; mask use and our long term public health orders vs the state orders. We will be simultaneously streaming the webinar live to the Gunnison County Health and Human Services Facebook page.
If you would like to participate via zoom, please sign up for the webinar here.
Screening Site Changes
June 8th, the screening site will be at HHS from 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM as was previously the case. Starting on June 9th, the screening site will move to be located only at GVH Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The site will be located in the large north entrance parking lot and operate out of a shed. We ask that you please call the call center ahead to schedule an appointment at 970-641-7660.
Importance of Self-Reporting
One of the best tools to provide early warnings of spread in the community is to self-report as symptomatic. If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, even if they are mild, please self-report and isolate yourself.
Call Center Hours
The call center will be operating 8am-12pm Monday-Friday. For those needing assistance outside of those hours, there will be someone monitoring the callcenter@gunnisoncounty.org email.
Grocery and prescription delivery 5 days per week
If you are at risk and self-isolating at home, ill with Covid-19 symptoms, or quarantined and need groceries or prescriptions delivered to your home, call (970) 641-7959. Deliveries are by drivers trained to safely handle your order and are available throughout the valley, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
