New Public Health Orders 6/1

On Monday, we will be unveiling a long-term public health order. The goal of this order is to outline the regulations in each level of risk. This will be tied to the coronameter that we will launch simultaneously. The levels will be green, blue, yellow, orange and red. We will pre-define what each level means for the various businesses in the valley. The hope is that this will keep the confusion down should we have a second wave.

Public Meeting

We will be launching a public facing meeting that will run every Monday at 2:30 PM starting 6/1/2020. Public officials will be invited to pose questions that they are hearing from their constituents. We will work to feed in questions from the public that come in via the zoom webinar. Pre-register here.

For those of you who would prefer to just watch the meeting, we will also be live streaming the webinar via the Gunnison County Health and Human Services Facebook page.

GVH Pre-surgery screening

GVH is offering COVID-19 PCR test screening for anyone that is coming to get a medical procedure. For scheduling please see this document from GVH. 

Importance of Self-Reporting

One of the best tools to provide early warnings of spread in the community is to self-report as symptomatic. If you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, even if they are mild, please self-report and isolate yourself.

The Center for Mental Health

We have consolidated the Center for Mental Health’s resources to this page on our website.

Call Center Hours 

The call center will be operating 8am-12pm Monday-Friday. For those needing assistance outside of those hours, there will be someone monitoring the callcenter@gunnisoncounty.org email. 

Grocery and prescription delivery 5 days per week

If you are at risk and self-isolating at home, ill with Covid-19 symptoms, or quarantined and need groceries or prescriptions delivered to your home, call (970) 641-7959. Deliveries are by drivers trained to safely handle your order and are available throughout the valley, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
