Please self-report if you have any symptoms or have overcome your symptoms.
Incident Command
Staff at Incident Command will be taking a day of rest on Sunday. We will have a skeleton crew in place in case there is pressing information that needs to be pushed to the public. Do NOT look for the 5pm update tomorrow. We will resume normal updates on Monday.
Census
Everyone who has a PO Box has not received mail around the census. Folks with PO boxes normally get their information hand delivered by an enumerator, but because of COVID-19 operations have been put on hold until at least June 1. However, these folks need to know that they do not need to have received any mail/paperwork from the Bureau, and thus the address code, to fill out the census. All they have to do is go to https://my2020census.gov/ or call 844-330-2020 and give their address to start the survey.
Our response rate is now at 26.3%. We still have work to do!
Screening Site
Beginning next week, the screening site will be moving to a different schedule.
-Monday from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM in Gunnison
-Wednesday from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM in Crested Butte
-Friday testing will be by appointment and reserved for healthcare, law enforcement, EMS, and fire employees only.
We have seen a decrease in the number of screenings at the testing site. We are hoping to give the staff a bit of a break in anticipation of a larger scale testing of the community in the future.
Center for Mental Health
The Center for Mental Health has a free talk line that is open 24 hours per day at 970-252-6220.
Grocery and prescription delivery 7 days per week
While the Call Center (970-641-7660) is not operating on weekends, the Delivery Assistance Hotline is.
If you are at risk and self-isolating at home, ill with Covid-19 symptoms, or quarantined and need groceries or prescriptions delivered to your home; call (970) 641-7959. Deliveries are by drivers trained to safely handle your order and are available throughout the valley, 7 days a week, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Self-Report as Resolved
At 3:15 PM we had 328 previously symptomatic people reporting that their symptoms had resolved.
RECOVERY defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications for 72 hours and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and, at least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared. If your symptoms have resolved, please fill out the following form.
By the Numbers
As of 3:15 PM, we have 103 positive, 208 negative, and 20 pending tests.
The By the Numbers document as you have known it is being phased out. Our new Google Datastudio is live on the website. The main page is a breakdown. There is more detail in a link in the bottom right corner for those that want to dig in further.
We can update and adapt this data platform. Please let us know if there are pieces of information that we are not portraying that you would like to see.
We also received an updated county map from our data team outlining Self-Report and Call Center data across the county.
