Please self-report if you have any symptoms and encourage others to self-report so we can have the best information. We are using this data to help us track the virus through our community and to predict a potential surge on our healthcare system.
Mental Health
We know that these are trying times for everyone in the community. There are a number of mental health resources available in our community.

Economic Recovery
There is a massive task force that is working to support all of the businesses who are going through the financial strain of this pandemic. Visit the “Business Resources” section on the www.gunnisoncounty.org/covid19 website. There, we are working to distill down the assistance programs that are available. In addition, there are industry specific subgroups that are meeting weekly to discuss issues that are specific to certain industries.
Community Testing
We are continually searching for the best available community testing. The issue is that the whole world is also after similar testing. While there are a number of tests available, most are still working to be verified as valid and reliable. In speaking with researchers at the University of Colorado, it is thought that a viable test will be approved within the next 3-4 weeks. We want to make sure that the testing we do is going to give us the best data possible. In the meantime, we started the process for fecal testing through a company called Bio Bot. The samples will be collected from wastewater treatment plants and should give us a sense of the magnitude of the virus in our community over time. We are also pursuing a number of viability tests through outfits like Vibrant America Clinical and Henry Schein.

The screening site will be open on Tuesday in Crested Butte from 10am-12pm.
