Please self-report if you have any symptoms and encourage others to self-report so we can have the best information. We are using this data to help us track the virus through our community and to predict a potential surge on our healthcare system.
Gunnison County vs CO
We currently have the highest case rate per 100k people in our county at 233. The state rate per 100k people is only at about 16. We have to remain vigilant in following the Public Health Orders and social distancing. Our community remains at risk as we are continuing to see critically ill patients at our hospital and across our State and Nation. As of this morning, we had 1 patient in the red and is being sent to St. Mary’s in Grand Junction. 2 patients are amber and are hospitalized but stable. 4 patients are green and at the hospital but improving. The virus is silent and easily transmitted. Collectively our Valley can keep this virus from spreading across our communities. We are scoring highly on this new data platform that uses cell phone location tracking to score each state and county on social distancing. https://www.unacast.com/covid19/social-distancing-scoreboard
You can see that movement within Gunnison County dropped dramatically after the Public Health Orders were issued. We must keep up this community effort to social distance.

Call Center Hours
The call center is now running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Saturday, closed on Sunday.
Screening Site
There will be no screening site in operation for today, Wednesday 3/25. The weather looks to be holding for the Crested Butte site to remain at the Community School for Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We will update on social media if the situation changes.
City Market Click List
City Market’s online ordering system has been booked up with orders. We ask that if you are healthy and otherwise able, that you do your shopping in person. This opens up City Market’s online pick-up program for individuals who are at risk, over 60 years old, and/or symptomatic or otherwise self-isolating. Our Delivery Assistance Hotline is operating and phones will be manned from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, 7 days a week. Call (970) 641-7959 if you need a volunteer to pick up the groceries you ordered through City Market’s Pick-up Program. Volunteers can also deliver prescriptions that are ready from the City Market or Walmart pharmacies. These services are reserved for individuals who need it most.
Property Tax Payments
On March 20, 2020, Governor Polis issued Executive Order #D 2020 012 authorizing the County Treasurer to suspend or waive delinquent interest that may accrue pursuant to the provision of § 39-10-104.5 as a result of delinquent tax payments for the next 30 days.
Therefore, the Gunnison County Treasurer’s office will accept the first half of the 2019 property taxes (originally due February 29, 2020) without delinquent interest from March 20 through April 20, 2020. First half property tax payments post‐marked by April 20, 2020 will be processed without delinquent interest.
The full tax payment due by April 30, 2020 and the second half tax payment due by June 15, 2020 are not impacted by Executive Order D 2020 012 at this time.
This may be modified or extended if additional action is taken by the Colorado State Legislature or the Governor of the State of Colorado.
